Route56 General Contracting had an incredible day participating in the Hockey Helps the Homeless annual pro-am charity tournament in Hamilton and Burlington. Our team proudly raised $15,363.06, contributing to an impressive tournament total of $149,114.76 in support of and .

A big thank-you to everyone who joined us on the ice, and a special shoutout to our pro for bringing his time, energy, and great vibes to the event.

We’re already looking forward to being back on the ice and participating again next year!

In Hamilton and Burlington, hundreds of people experience homelessness every night—but together, we can help make a difference.

On Friday, April 10th, 2026, Route56 will once again hit the ice in the Hockey Helps the Homeless (HHTH) Hamilton/Burlington charity tournament in support of the YMCA of Hamilton | Burlington | Brantford—an organization we’re proud to support for the incredible work they do in our community.

This year’s tournament will help fund the Y’s Men’s Residence and Youth in Transition programs, which provide housing and support for individuals experiencing homelessness.

We couldn’t be prouder of our very own Greg Comley, owner of Route 56 General Contracting, whose visit to a YMCA job site sparked not just a project—but a personal transformation.

What began as a routine walk-through turned into a life-changing journey. Greg lost 83 pounds, embraced a healthier lifestyle, and became a passionate supporter of local causes like Hockey Helps the Homeless, raising over $6,000 as the tournament’s top individual fundraiser.
