The event provided an opportunity for community members to learn more about this important project and better understand the next phase of construction, as teams begin coordinating individual residential water service connections.

Some foundations are built to support buildings.

Others are built to support the future growth of an entire community.

Our team recently completed a major concrete placement at the new Hydro Ottawa Mer Bleue Municipal Transformer Station in Orléans, pouring approximately 350 cubic metres of concrete into two transformer raft foundations -- enough to fill about 50 standard ready-mix trucks.

While the pour itself was completed in a single day, reaching this milestone took extensive planning, coordination, safety reviews, and preparation.

We’re proud to announce that the Drumbo Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrades project received the 2026 OPWA Technical Innovation Award in the $10M–$50M category.

Delivered alongside Oxford County and R.V. Anderson Associates Limited, this project upgraded the facility to a modern membrane bioreactor system while working within a compact, fully operational site.

The project required careful planning, coordination, and innovation to complete successfully while maintaining ongoing plant operations.

ASCO completed the $26M LEED Gold-certified Administration & Maintenance Building at the Lakeview Water Treatment Plant for the Region of Peel — supporting one of Ontario’s most critical water treatment facilities.
This technically complex project included:

✔️ Green roof systems
✔️ Solar hot water heating
✔️ Radiant heating and cooling
✔️ Automated building controls
✔️ Adaptive reuse of an existing underground reservoir as parking and mechanical space

From demolition and structural work to advanced mechanical systems and architectural finishes, our team delivered a facility designed to support resilient infrastructure for years to come.
