Insulators are a type of fencing hardware that allows you to attach the wire to the post. Insulators are required to ensure that all of the electricity coming from the energizer is available to deliver a shock to anything that makes contact with the fence wire.

Without proper insulation of the wires, a fence can short – meaning that it will be less effective in deterring animals. Insulators are made for the specific type of post that they are insulating.
