The thermal spray process involves the combustion of a mixture of oxygen and fuel to produce a high-velocity gas stream. This stream propels powder particles, which are heated and accelerated towards the substrate. As the heated particles reach the substrate, they flatten and bond upon impact, forming a dense, tightly adhered coating. This rapid deposition minimizes oxidation and preserves the material's properties. The high velocity of the particles results in a coating with exceptional hardness, low porosity, and strong adhesion. This makes it highly resistant to wear, corrosion, and high temperatures.
