Please be advised that a partial lane closure on 1st Avenue is currently in place. Concrete barriers have been placed to ensure the safety of workers and to prevent small rocks and debris from rolling down the hill while work is taking place. Be aware and drive with care.

Road rehabilitation will begin next week on Westsyde Road from Franklin Road to Harrington Road. Work will start at Franklin Road in the northbound outside lane, move to the northbound inside lane, followed by the inside southbound and outside southbound lanes, ending at Harrington Road in August 2025. Expect delays and allow extra commuting time. Some impacts to transit may occur; for updated route information, visit BCTransit.com/Kamloops.

The water main along Westsyde Road from Inskip Road to Riverview Road has been completed and connected. Paving will begin on May 14 in the northbound lane. The southbound and northbound lanes are scheduled for paving on May 20 and 21. Expect limited access to driveways for short durations during the paving work. Work hours are approximately 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday. Line painting and minor restoration will follow. The project is expected to be completed by the end of May. Thank you for your patience during the water main replacement.
