Thank you to for including MS Filter Systems in the 2026 Conference in Regina last week. 💧

Our Director of Operations, Kristof Karpiuk, presented "Practical Pathways to Improve Legacy Slow Sand Filtration Systems." The session looked at case studies from two First Nations, covering the process engineering basis, water quality performance, and community outcomes of in-place upgrades to their slow sand drinking water plants.

Slow sand filtration is still the backbone of many small community water systems, and there is real value in improving the plants already in operation. We appreciate the opportunity to share this work, and the conversations that came out of it.
