❤️🩹 **Thinking of Everyone Impacted by the Wildfires** ❤️🩹
Our hearts and prayers are with everyone who has been forced to evacuate their homes as wildfires continue to impact so many communities across British Columbia.
So many families have already lost their homes and everything they have worked so hard for. Pets and animals have been displaced, lost, or separated from their families, and countless people are facing uncertainty and fear as they wait to see what comes next. The devastation is heartbreaking, and the road ahead will not be easy.
During such frightening and uncertain times, it is important to remember that no one is facing this alone.
We are incredibly grateful for the BC Wildfire Service, and for every firefighter who has dropped everything to come and fight these fires. A heartfelt thank-you to the firefighters from across Canada and from countries around the world who have stepped up to help protect our communities. Your courage, sacrifice, and dedication are truly beyond words. ❤️
We are equally grateful for the countless volunteers, animal rescue groups, organizations, businesses, and good Samaritans who are opening their homes, donating supplies, transporting animals, providing food and shelter, and simply showing up wherever help is needed.
And to all of the communities coming together to support one another — thank you. In moments like these, we are reminded of the incredible strength and compassion people can show when their neighbours need them most.
To everyone who has been evacuated, displaced, or is anxiously waiting to see what happens next: we are thinking of you, praying for you, and hoping you are able to return home safely. For those who have lost everything, may you find strength in the people surrounding you and know that you are not alone.
Please continue to look out for one another, check on your neighbours, help where you safely can, and keep our firefighters, first responders, evacuees, families, and animals in your thoughts.
