What we make becomes part of something bigger. 🧡
Every day, our team helps bring Waterplay products to life. From our shop floor, they make their way into spaces where people play, gather, and connect, becoming a small part of communities with their own stories, cultures and identities.
Today, on National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we’re proud to share Waterplay’s message and take time to listen, learn, and reflect on the importance of Indigenous voices, cultures, and stories in the communities our work reaches.
Play has the power to connect us. 🧡
It brings people together. Creates opportunities to share, learn, and build relationships. And when spaces reflect the people and communities around them, play can become part of something bigger: a place to connect with culture, community, and one another.
On National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we honour the children who never returned home, Survivors, and the families and communities who continue to carry the impacts of the residential school system.
Today is an opportunity to listen, learn, and reflect on the history and ongoing impacts of residential schools — and on the importance of protecting the connections to family, community and culture that every child deserves.
At Waterplay, we’re grateful for the opportunities we’ve had to learn from Indigenous communities and to see their ideas, cultures, and stories reflected in spaces created for connection and play.
