✨ Thermafiber duct wrap phases ✨
This uses high-temperature mineral wool insulation to help maintain the required fire-resistance rating around ductwork. When properly installed as part of a tested system, it can help limit heat transfer and reduce the risk of fire spreading through duct pe*******ons into neighbouring spaces.

And the details matter.
✔️ Correct number and overlap of layers
✔️ Properly treated seams and joints
✔️ Secure mechanical fastening/banding
✔️ Continuous coverage around the duct
✔️ Proper termination at the pe*******on
✔️ Installation according to the specified tested/listed system

It isn’t simply about wrapping insulation around a duct. The entire assembly has to be installed according to its listed design for the fire rating to perform as intended.
Passive fire protection is mostly hidden once construction is finished…but in a fire, these systems are designed to buy valuable time by helping contain fire and heat to the area of origin.

Finished caulking install speed in real time. This was in the parkade at one of our Kelowna job sites. Finished caulking is kind of a precise art, and we like to get it done neatly & efficiently 🙌🏻

Back in the spring, we had our annual upper management meeting in Calgary, Alberta. We’re always looking for ways we can come together to strengthen our team, and this time it was over golf & dinner. Although it looks like all fun, rest assured we talked shop, too ⛳️

We have our next BIG team get together with a lot of fun things planned next month that we can’t wait to see everyone for!!!

Hello!!! We’ve been on a bit of a posting strike over here, but we’ve been busier than ever. Behind the scenes, we’ve been going through a big re-brand so some things will be looking a little different which is why we’ve been a little MIA. Here’s a few new things to watch for:

- New logo!!! We’ve teamed up with one of our local graphic designers and have had a new logo and branding package designed. Feeling refreshed and excited!
- New business name. We have gone from “RedSeal Firestop” to “RedSeal Group of Companies”, but you can find us under RedSeal Group on socials for short 😉 we changed our name so we could accommodate the new umbrella of services we now offer. Which will bring us to our third change…
- Now offering Drywall & Insulation services! Yup, we have a new Drywall & Insulation division. We are SO pumped about this!!! We now offer services in: Firestopping, Drywall & Insulation, Caulking & Sealants, Traffic Coating, Expansion Joints, and Mechanical Insulation.
- New website URL! You used to find us under redsealfirestop.com but we are now redseal.ca
It’s quick, short, easy to remember, and we’re pretty proud of how everything has come together.

We have posts and so many things that have built up that we still need to share, but that’s it for now! Happy Monday!!
