There’s a good chance that when you start thinking about a renovation or new build, one of the first things you’ll do is Google builders in your area.

Before you do that, though, it’s worth figuring out what actually matters to you.

Once you know the answers to these questions, finding the right builder becomes less about who gives you the lowest number and more about who actually aligns with what you’re trying to build.

At Eisenhauer, we know we’re not going to be the right builder for every project — and that’s okay. We’re focused on high-quality, detail-driven homes that are meant to last. Just as importantly, we want the relationship with our clients to be the right fit on both sides.

Do your research. Ask the hard questions. Compare apples to apples.

And if a legacy home built with a lot of care is at the top of your list, we’d be happy to have the conversation.

A set of plans is a great place to start, but before anything is built we like to get out on the property.

Walking the site with our clients gives us a chance to talk through how they’ll live in the home, where the light falls, what the views look like, and how the house should sit on the land.

Sometimes we’ll even build temporary platforms so clients can experience the view from a future second floor or balcony before construction begins.

The more we understand the property from the beginning, the better decisions we can make throughout the build.
