100% natural green chlorite-included quartz — aka “Green Mountain” 💚

This is one of my all-time favourite finds from the Rocky Mountains of British Columbia, easily in my top 10. To me, it looks like a castle rising out of a deep forest 🌲

A true one-of-one — a rare “forest crystal.”

🌎 Happy Earth Day everyone.

I’ve always believed prospecting is about more than crystals, minerals, and what we bring home. It’s about the connection to the land, the creeks, the mountains, and respecting the places that give us these gifts.

Every time I head into the bush, I try to leave it better than I found it. Picking up junk, keeping creeks clean, respecting wildlife, filling in dig spots, and giving back to nature are just part of the journey for me.

I don’t just love hunting crystals — I love protecting the places they come from.

Some of my best days in the field weren’t only about the finds… they were about the peace, the fresh air, and those moments where you stop and feel grateful just to be out there.

This Earth Day, I challenge everyone heading outdoors to bring out one bag of garbage along with whatever treasures you find. Let’s show that prospectors and rockhounds can be stewards of the land too.

Mother Earth gives us a lot. Let’s give something back. 💚

Out by the river today checking out these thunder eggs we picked up at a rock show in Creston BC.

Always something different when you get them out in the sunlight. Makes you wonder what’s really inside.

We also dug this plume agate out of the dirt in Vernon BC, and my brother turned it into a pendant. Nothing better than wearing something you actually found yourself.

Accompanied by my brother Robert Evans, we embarked on a crystal hunting expedition in 2026. We discovered some remarkable crystals on the first day.
