Our Story
Queen's concrete toboggan is a Civil/Mechanical engineering based design team that competes annually in the Great Northern Concrete Toboggan Race (GNCTR). Each year a selected University hosts on average 20 schools to their competition venue. Teams are challenged in designing and constructing a toboggan that weighs less than 300 lbs, has concrete running surfaces, a superstructure that has a roll cage and can safely protect 5 riders from impact at speeds of up to 80km/h. We encourage students looking to join the team to email us at [email protected] with any questions or comments.
