Woodhouse Restorations is glad to be attending the RIMS Canada Conference 2026 in Québec City this week, connecting with risk management leaders, insurance partners, and industry colleagues from across the county.

We’ve enjoyed some excellent discussions on preparedness, emergency response, and recovery with lots of new perspectives and practical insights to bring back to our team. We’re also happy to support our EMRG Canada partners who are exhibiting at the conference. Thank you RIMS Canada for putting together such a great event!

Here comes everyone’s favourite auntie! 🧡

This year we’re proud to be the new sponsor of the Tante Frieda Live float in the Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest Thanksgiving Day Parade! We had a blast this morning getting into the Oktoberfest spirit with her and everyone who came out to wave and cheer along the parade route.

We love being part of this community tradition and are grateful to KW Oktoberfest and all the volunteers who make it possible every year.

Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Woodhouse Group!

As we come together to recognize Orange Shirt Day and the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we remember the children who never returned home and honour Survivors of residential schools, their families, and the communities that continue to live with the impacts of residential schools in Canada.

Today our team is wearing orange shirts featuring beautiful artwork by Trinity Sheppard whose mom, Cher Sheppard, is a member of our Finance team. Cher and Trinity are both of the Oneida Nation of the Thames, Turtle Clan.

Inspired by the Haudenosaunee Creation Story, Trinity created a design that reflects new growth, connection, and communities standing together. We are so grateful to her for the thought and care she put into this design and for sharing its meaning with us as an important reminder of the role we all play in advancing reconciliation.

We're excited to share that Woodhouse Contracting has completed the transformation of the former Subscribers’ Lounge at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium (The Aud) into Club 51 Sports Bar!

This is the latest in a series of projects Woodhouse has completed for the City of Kitchener and the Kitchener Rangers to improve facilities and enhance the experience for players and fans at The Aud.

We had a great time celebrating Club 51’s grand opening last night and sampling their delicious food and drinks. Club 51 is now open to the public seven days a week, from 11:30am to 11pm. The restaurant operates on both event and non-event days. In other words: if The Aud is open, so is Club 51!

Thank you to the City of Kitchener, The Aud, the Kitchener Rangers, Rolleman Restaurant Group, NEO Architecture, and DFY Studio, as well all of the consultants, suppliers, and skilled tradespeople for their exceptional work on this project.

Woodhouse Restorations’ emergency response crews are on the road as cleanup continues across Waterloo Region and beyond after strong winds and driving rain caused flooding, downed trees, property damage, and power outages yesterday.

Our teams mobilized quickly and are helping affected homeowners and businesses with debris removal, property stabilization, and water mitigation. Some crews worked well into the night and were back out first thing this morning.

A big thank you to our amazing team for everything you’re doing to help those impacted in our community!

It’s not every day you get to meet a celebrity!

As sponsors of the Kitchener Rangers, we recently had the chance to welcome The Memorial Cup as the guest of honour at our Employee Summer BBQ. Our team and their families got to see the Cup up close and we enjoyed a great afternoon together in the sunshine.

Thank you Joe Birch and Brad Sparkes for bringing the Cup by and representing our 2026 Memorial Cup Champions!

Earlier this month our team came together for Wear Your Pride Day in support of our 2SLGBTQI+ colleagues, friends, neighbours, and communities.

June is a time to celebrate their joy, strength, and resilience and to recognize the people and perspectives that make the places where we live and work more vibrant, connected, and diverse. It’s also a reminder of the importance of kindness, inclusion, and everyday actions that help all people feel valued, safe, and welcome.

Happy Pride Month from Team Woodhouse! 🌈

Team Woodhouse came together last weekend for our 4th Annual Community Clean-up in celebration of Earth Day!

Our volunteer cleanup crew spent Saturday morning picking up litter around the Mill-Courtland neighbourhood and along the Iron Horse Trail next to our Madison Avenue office. Over the past four years, this has become one of our favourite spring traditions with members of our staff and their families all pitching in to help leave our community a little cleaner, a little greener, and a little better than we found it.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out and made this year’s cleanup another great one! 🌱💚
