We're excited to share that Dan Hunter has been promoted to Director of Strategic Projects and Client Solutions for Woodhouse Restorations!

Over his 29 years with Woodhouse, Dan has played an important role in the growth of our Restorations team and has become a trusted resource for clients, partners, and team members alike. His experience, empathy, commitment, and leadership are part of what makes him such a valued member of our team, and we are proud to recognize his contributions with this well-earned promotion.

In this role, Dan will continue working closely with our clients and partners on large and complex restoration projects while supporting mentorship, operational collaboration, and the continued growth of Woodhouse Restorations.

Team Woodhouse came together last weekend for our 4th Annual Community Clean-up in celebration of Earth Day!

Our volunteer cleanup crew spent Saturday morning picking up litter around the Mill-Courtland neighbourhood and along the Iron Horse Trail next to our Madison Avenue office. Over the past four years, this has become one of our favourite spring traditions with members of our staff and their families all pitching in to help leave our community a little cleaner, a little greener, and a little better than we found it.

Today we're proud to share an important milestone for Team Woodhouse! As our business continues to grow and expand its capabilities, it will now operate as three companies: Woodhouse Group, Woodhouse Contracting, and Woodhouse Restorations.

“This is a natural next step for us,” says Joe Woodhouse, Chief Executive Officer of Woodhouse Group. “These changes reinforce our ability to respond to and support the evolving needs of our clients and partners, both now and in the future. I’m excited to see our teams grow across all three companies and the positive impact it will have on the work we do and the communities we serve.”

All three companies will continue to be closely connected through the shared purpose, values, and leadership that Woodhouse is built on. The existing leadership will remain in place, along with the same care for our teams, our relationships, and the way we work together across the business.

Whether they’re providing leadership, working on site, supporting our clients, or keeping things moving behind the scenes, they lift up those around them and leave our people, projects, and community better than before.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year - the Larry Kelly Christmas Toy Drive is here!

With many families in our community stretching every dollar during the holidays, the Larry Kelly Christmas Toy Drive returned yesterday to continue its long tradition of bringing comfort, joy, and loads of toys to children and families in need across the region.

Thanks to the generosity of this year’s sponsors we’re happy to share that over $60,000 worth of new games, books, puzzles, stuffies, and other fun surprises were delivered to local community organizations who offer programs, support, and essential services to kids, teens, and families in Waterloo Region and Guelph.

These included hospital foundations, child development centres, social-service providers, and charitable groups who will ensure the impact of these gifts reach all corners of our community.

Now in its 32nd year, the Larry Kelly Christmas Toy Drive continues to be a meaningful reminder of what community care can look like. For us, being part of this tradition year after year means seeing just how much these donations help create joy, offer hope, and support the life-changing work these organizations do for children and families far beyond the holiday season.

As Woodhouse Group continues to grow, we’re looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Accounting Specialist to join our team!

The Accounting Specialist will support both our Accounting and Operations teams with day-to-day financial processing, proactive accounts receivable management, and reliable month-end support. As a key member of our finance team, the Accounting Specialist will also work with internal stakeholders to keep our invoicing on track, our reporting accurate, and our financial operations running smoothly across the organization. Experience with construction or project-based accounting is an asset in this role.

Paws-itively glad to lend a hand delivering 30 boxes of donated dog treats from the GTA to our friends at the Guelph Humane Society! 🐾

Treats are an important part of the daily care and welfare provided at GHS, helping shelter dogs use their minds and energy in healthy and enriching ways while they wait for their furever homes. They’re used to build confidence, release energy, and create positive associations during training, introductions, and play. GHS uses more than 200 lbs of dog treats each year, so large-scale donations like this go a long way.

These Northern Biscuit all-natural treats were generously donated by Michael from The Dogvent Calendar, a Christmas advent calendar for dogs. The 2025 edition is available through the GHS Gift Store and every purchase supports animals in their care - including sweet pups like Cinnamon, who’s currently waiting for his .
