🇨🇦 1926 called… they said the Legion could use a fresh coat. 😎

This was definitely one of those projects that was a little more special than just another building.

Our crew had the opportunity to give the Hanna Legion Branch #25 a much-deserved facelift with VIPEQ Thermal CorkShield — and this old girl has some history behind her.

Built in 1926. Sprayed in 2026. That’s 100 YEARS standing in Hanna, Alberta. 💯🇨🇦

Think about that for a second…

When this building was built, vehicles looked a little different, construction definitely looked a little different, and we're pretty sure nobody on the jobsite was talking about spraying cork on the exterior of a building. 😂

But for the last century, this building has been part of the Hanna community.

Legions are more than just buildings. They are places built around remembrance, service, community and the men and women who served our country. Over the years, they've also become gathering places where generations of families have walked through the doors for ceremonies, community events, fundraisers, celebrations, a cold drink and probably more than a few stories that got better every time they were told. 🍻😂

So when you're working on a building with 100 years behind it, you're not just covering up an old exterior and calling it good.

The goal is to help preserve it.

We applied VIPEQ Thermal CorkShield to give the Hanna Legion a completely refreshed exterior while adding some serious protection against the Alberta elements.

Freshened up, protected and ready to keep serving the Hanna community for many more years.

🚒🔥 The Hanna Fire Department got one heck of a facelift!

This fire hall was having some not-so-fun issues with its existing acrylic stucco — micro-cracking was allowing water intrusion, while fading and peeling were starting to make the exterior look a little tired.

So naturally… we brought in the cork. 😎🌳

After getting everything properly prepped and the problem areas taken care of, we sprayed the entire stucco area

The result? A flexible, seamless exterior designed to help bridge those pesky micro-cracks, keep the weather where it belongs — outside — and give the building a completely fresh new look at the same time.

And what better place for a Class A fire-rated exterior finish than a fire hall? 🔥🚒
Seems pretty fitting if you ask us. 😂

Because apparently even the fire department needs a little 🔥 added to the exterior once in a while.

🔥 Big facelift coming to the Hanna Fire Hall! 🔥

Keep an eye on this one 👀

We’ll be giving this newer fire hall a much-needed exterior facelift — repairing the failing and cracking acrylic stucco and giving the building a fresh new look with VIPEQ Thermal CorkShield.

It’s unfortunate to see an exterior system already showing this level of failure on a newer building, but that’s exactly where spray cork makes a great retrofit option. Rather than simply covering the problem, we’ll be properly addressing the failed areas and upgrading the exterior with a flexible, durable coating designed to handle our harsh Canadian climate.

Can’t wait to show the before and after on this one.
