We're hiring an experienced and dynamic Buyer to join our Supply Chain team! The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing and procuring packaging and ingredients to ensure the supply of all raw materials for production in a timely, cost-effective manner.
Responsibilities include:
🌱 Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable supply and negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
🌱 Build and strengthen relationships with customer procurement teams, understanding specifications and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
🌱 Collaborate with the production planning and inventory control teams to maintain optimal inventory levels and support production schedules.
🌱 Monitor market trends, economic indicators, and conditions to identify opportunities for cost savings and risk mitigation.
🌱 Analyze supplier performance and implement improvement plans using score cards and other metrics.
🌱 Manage supplier claims and resolve any supply issues, such as delays or quality concerns, in a timely and effective manner.
🌱 Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, permits and ethical standards in all procurement activities.
🌱 Drive continuous improvement projects to source new materials and products, ensuring alignment with specifications and R&D.

Highbury Canco is hiring a Production Manager, in Leamington, responsible for ensuring the timely manufacture of ingredients, work-in-process, and finished goods while meeting customer service, safety, quality, and cost requirements.

This role involves managing personnel, facilities, and operations within the factory to achieve production standards and support the company’s goals for continuous improvement.

Principal Accountabilities:
✅ Safety Compliance: Create and maintain a safe working environment by ensuring compliance with safety policies and promoting safe work practices.
✅ Production Standards: Set, monitor, and evaluate production performance standards, ensuring accurate downtime tracking to identify top losses, emerging issues, and root causes for corrective actions.
✅ Operational Goals: Meet site goals related to safety, quality, and compliance, including Safety TRIR, Right First Time, Spoilage/MUDA, HACCP, GMP, and sanitation standards.
✅ Process Improvement: Assist in developing and refining work procedures, business processes, and other continuous improvement projects.
✅ Policy Adherence: Ensure adherence to safety policies, quality standards, and standard operating procedures across the factory.
✅ Independent Ex*****on: Perform assigned duties with minimal supervision while maintaining accountability.
✅ SQF System Oversight: Lead and oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of the SQF system, in alignment with company policies on Management Responsibility.

Basic Requirements:
📋 Experience: Minimum of 3 years of supervisory or management experience in a food processing or manufacturing facility.
