Earlier this week, we were proud to host University - Université Laurentienne's MRILC students at our Technica Advanced Training Centre (TATC) , located right here in the backyard of our Fielding office.

Our team brought participants through the TATC to explore Technica's operations, training approach, and workforce development initiatives first-hand.

Having a dedicated underground training tunnel on-site means teams can train in real conditions, without the risks of an active mine. It's hands-on, practical experience that simply can't be replicated in a classroom.

Last week, Team Technica was proud to compete in the Onaping District at the Ontario Mine Rescue Competition.

These competitions put volunteer teams through realistic simulations that mirror the unpredictable nature of underground emergencies, covering everything from search and rescue and confined spaces to structural collapse and equipment failures. Teams are tested on their knowledge, problem-solving, and teamwork, and receive expert feedback that helps strengthen their training and preparedness.

It's one of the most rigorous training competitions in the industry, and we're proud of our team for their dedication to keeping workers safe.

On Wednesday, the Technica team was proud to participate in the Jill of All Trades event at Cambrian College!

The event brought together young women from across the region to explore careers in the skilled trades through hands-on experiences, mentorship, and conversations with industry professionals. We were honoured to support an initiative that inspires the next generation to pursue rewarding careers in the trades.

Technica was also proud to sponsor a $500 scholarship award for a participating student, helping support future skilled trades professionals as they continue their educational journey.
