​We hear these stories far too often here in London, Ontario. A local homeowner called us for a second opinion after another HVAC company quoted them an astronomical price to completely replace their older R22 air conditioner and fix a "broken" furnace blower.

When Bad Installations Kill Good Equipment (And How We Fought For Our Customer’s Warranty!) 🛑📉
​Imagine paying a premium price for a brand-new heat pump, only for it to completely die just two years later. Even worse—the original installer ghosts you, and two other companies quote you sky-high prices to replace the entire system out of pocket.
​That is exactly the nightmare this London, Ontario homeowner was facing when they reached out to us during this brutal summer heat wave.
​The Forensic Diagnostic:
Upon inspecting the dead system, we found a severe mechanical and electrical failure: the compressor was completely shorted to ground. This type of early-stage breakdown in a 2-year-old unit is almost always caused by poor installation practices—such as failing to pull a proper vacuum, leaving moisture or non-condensables in the lines, or incorrect electrical wiring.
