During this phase of the cottage renovation, we successfully renovated the entranceway, providing it with a comprehensive overhaul. All deteriorated wood was replaced with new materials. The archway was fitted with new aluminum capping, and new soffit and fascia were installed. The existing door was retained temporarily, with the rotted threshold removed and replaced with a pressure-treated 2x8. This was then topped with commercial-grade aluminum, and new capping was installed on both sides and the top of the door.

After conducting a comprehensive assessment of the window frame, it was concluded that a complete replacement was unnecessary, and substituting the window units would resolve the problems, ultimately saving the customer time and money.
