Earlier this month, members of Miller Concrete's team in Barrie, ON were proud to participate in a customer's safety week event. The entire site came together for a discussion on recognizing risks and hazards in the workplace and to reinforce the importance of a safety culture.

Safety talks, toolbox talks, and site-wide safety stand-downs like this are just some of the ways we can bring more awareness to the importance of safety on the jobsite.

Safety is more than awareness. It is something that we actively choose to commit to every day so we can return home the way we left.

DID YOU KNOW: Miller Line Marking crews can measure the retroreflectivity of the paint on the roads?

Retroreflectivity is the ability for light to return directly to the souce (a vehicle's headlights) rather than reflect away from the driver like a mirror would. Line markings have to meet specific standards for retroreflectivity to be used on roads.

This piece of equipment is a mobile retroreflectometer, which attaches to the side of a pickup truck and can measure retroreflectivity while driving at highway speeds.

We are excited to announce The Miller Group has been awarded the construction contract for the west section of the Bradford Bypass.

This contract covers the 6.5 km segment between Highway 400 and Yonge Street, including the construction of four lanes of highway, multiple interchanges and a bridge replacement.

While some people open their cottages in May, we open our asphalt plants!
