On October 14, St Barbara was pleased to sponsor Halifax Chamber of Commerce event, bringing together business and community leaders for an important conversation on the future of Atlantic Canada’s economy.

St Barbara Atlantic Manager of Business Development, Dustin O’Leary introduced Minister Sean Fraser as he spoke about the Bolder Ambitions report created by the Atlantic Economic Panel.

The event was an opportunity to connect with regional leaders, share our plans for the Touquoy Gold Mine restart, and discuss the role our industry can play in creating jobs, supporting local businesses, and contributing to long term economic growth in Nova Scotia.

St Barbara is pleased to sign a $57,500 Community Partnership Agreement over three years with Northumberland Regional High School, supporting upgrades and improvements to the school’s greenhouse, along with continued support for the Karma Closet.

Members of the St Barbara Atlantic team joined students and staff at NRHS for the planting day, celebrating the continued growth of an exciting student led initiative.

It’s amazing to see what students have accomplished through their initiative and dedication, with the support of school staff and faculty. Projects like these create valuable hands on learning opportunities, encourage sustainability, and make a meaningful difference in the school community.

We’re glad to support the great work happening right here in our communities and look forward to seeing the greenhouse project progress throughout the year. Thank you to the students, staff, and everyone involved in bringing these initiatives to life!

A member of our St Barbara Atlantic team stopped by to join MacGregors Industrial Sales today to celebrate an incredible milestone — 50 years in business!

Since opening in 1976, MacGregors has played an important role in supporting local industries and businesses. We’re grateful for the partnership we share, including the MacGregors team members who support our operations at Touquoy.

We’re excited to welcome Cory Chisholm, back to the Touquoy Gold Mine. Cory is a former member of the St Barbara team and has returned to Nova Scotia to be part of the Touquoy restart and help support the safety of our people and operations.

Having former team members return to work close to home is one of the many exciting parts of restarting Touquoy. We’re happy to have Cory back on the team and look forward to the work ahead.
