Vac Attack is aware of a video circulating on social media that appears to show one of our hydrovac trucks discharging material into a catch basin in a parking lot. We take this matter very seriously and are currently reviewing the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Environmental protection and regulatory compliance are fundamental expectations for all of our operations. Our company has established procedures requiring that hydrovac waste be transported and disposed of only at approved facilities in accordance with municipal and provincial regulations. If those procedures were not followed in this instance, it is inconsistent with our standards and the training provided to our employees.

An internal investigation has been initiated to determine exactly what occurred. Appropriate corrective actions will be taken based on the findings of that review, including reinforcing proper disposal procedures and ensuring all personnel fully understand and comply with our environmental and operational requirements.
This job was for a client who requested we thaw the ice that was preventing the catch basin from proper drainage function. The discharged material was the ice from above and around the catch basin.
