Big structures for a critical transmission crossing.

The HTI team recently completed a 138 kV transmission water crossing upgrade for a regional utility, a project that required detailed planning, engineering coordination, and precise field ex*****on.

To safely complete the transition, our crews first installed two temporary 75’ three-pole wood structures, allowing the existing crossing to be transferred and removed .

Once the line was secured, HTI installed two custom 100’ three-pole steel dead-end structures, engineered to withstand approximately 13,000 lbs of conductor tension. The installation required extensive foundation preparation and compaction testing, ensuring the structures met the required structural and geotechnical standards.

Projects like this highlight the strength of HTI’s Civil and Utility Divisions working together, allowing us to deliver complex transmission infrastructure safely and efficiently.

From foundation work and structure installation to conductor transfer, this project reflects the professionalism, planning, and ex*****on our crews bring to every job.

🔥 HTI Civil Division – Forest Fire Response 🔥

Over the past couple of months, our HTI Civil Division crew has been on the front lines supporting efforts to battle the forest fires that have challenged our province.

From long days in tough conditions to ensuring the safety of communities and critical infrastructure, our team has shown incredible commitment, professionalism, and resilience. Even under extreme pressure, they demonstrated the highest level of safety awareness, proving once again that safety and efficiency can go hand-in-hand.

We are extremely proud of the hours of hard work and dedication that each crew member put in to see this through. The fire has now been brought under control, and we want our team to know that their hard work has not gone unnoticed.
