We were proud to partner with Southern Railway on a major sustainability initiative: converting their fleet over to bio-diesel.
This wasn’t just a fuel swap — it required specialty hosing with precise certifications, ensuring safety, efficiency, and long-term viability. Our team handled all fueling towers and stations, guaranteeing zero leaks through detailed planning, high-quality materials, and certified installations.

To help Southern Railway stay on track (pun intended), we developed a progressive, month-by-month conversion schedule, along with a budget breakdown that made large-scale change manageable.

These towers store and dispense sand that is dropped onto the tracks in front of the train wheels to increase traction, especially during braking or in wet/icy conditions. Sierra was called in after this critical unit stopped functioning.
We quickly diagnosed the issue, located the failure point, and collaborated with certified electricians to solve a complex electrical fault — professionally and effectively.
