We are seeking to fill multiple positions ranging from waterproofers, roofers, labourers and lead hands that are willing to learn and grow in a well-established company. The candidate will ideally have a solid background working in construction and an understanding of waterproofing (hot rubber, peel and stick, blindside). The job responsibilities will include working with a construction crew with day-to-day tasks which include manual labour. This position requires the ability to climb and perform manual tasks daily. Job Description

We are looking for a hard working individual that is able to work in a physical demanding environment, operate machines to cut, grind, and polish surfaces of stone blocks, slabs or other stone products to specific shape and or design and to produce a smooth finish. Record manufacturing information such as quantity, size and type of goods produced, perform ongoing machine adjustments, read blueprints schemas and drawings.

Repetitive tasks, attention to detail, standing for extended periods of time, overtime is required.

Concrete Products Forming and Finishing Worker Specific Skills

Finish surfaces of castings using screed or trowel; Cut cured concrete pipe sections with saw or chisel and cement sections together to form odd-shaped fittings

Stone Forming and Finishing Worker Specific Skills

Operate machines to drill holes in blocks or slabs of stone according to specifications; Operate machines to grind and polish surfaces of stone blocks, slabs or other stone products to specific shape or design and to produce a smooth finish; Operate blade or wire saws to cut blocks of stone to specified dimensions

Own Tools / Equipment:

Tools, Hard Hat, Steel-toes safety boots, safety equipment/gear, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs, gloves

- Individual must be able to hand float/towel edges, able to run 24" - 48" walk behind power trowel machines, able to run 8" - 10" ride on power trowel machine to float & trowel concrete floors.

- Must be willing to work on placing crew and prep crew when no finishing work is scheduled.

- Must have own finishing hand tools

- Must have a valid drivers license & own reliable transportation

- Will need to join a union (good benefits, pay, pension)

- Individual must have strong work ethic, be punctual & reliable

- Must be willing to work on prep crew or other divisions when not placing concrete

- Experience is an asset, but training opportunities are offered to motivated individuals

- Up to date Safety Training & Certificates is an asset but training is available

- Applying of sealers, patching, and repairing of damaged floor finishes

- Other duties clean & maintenance of equipment, applying surface hardener

Overview:

- Promote Duron’s safety regulations

- Work in compliance with the occupational health and safety act and regulations, as well as, the company health and safety responsibilities and accountabilities
