We are definitely loving the colour of the back of rack security fence panels.

The colour definitely makes them pop!

Pictured is one of our recent projects over the last week.

A smaller project, but they all add up and most grow up to be bigger projects later on down the road.

It’s been an untypical August. Busy, busy busy!

The rack.ca teams have been slammed with installs, relocations, decommissions and a scary number of buy backs.

Big race day for NASCAR Canada and the rack.ca race car team partner the LJR Team, driven by Larry Jackson.

It’s Honda Indy time in Markham this weekend and the NASCAR Canada circuit returns to the Indy event after a couple years of absence.

The race is today around 4:45 and we are cheering for our favourite race car driver Larry Jackson in the 84 car.

We want to give our customers advance notice that increases in the cost of raw steel are affecting the manufacturing and pricing of pallet racking.

Prices are expected to increase by approximately 5–10%

Price increases will come into effect on Monday, August 24th.

When is the last time you had your pallet racking / storage system inspected and an up to date PSR completed?

We recently had a client that reached out for an annual storage system safety inspection and hadn’t done a proper inspection or PSR in many years.

Once our team had completed the inspections and our engineer completed the PSR, significant compliance issues were observed.

The clients warehouse had over 100 frames that required immediate attention.

Worst of all the frames were not the typical 42” deep frames you find in the majority of warehouses, they were 44” deep.

This week we started decommissioning a 290,000 sqft warehouse.

The project includes dismantle of over 1,200 sections of pallet racking consisting of over 1,300 frames, over 20,000 beams and 20,000 wire mesh decks.

It also includes over 1,000 sections of long span shelving, a couple miles of gravity and mechanical conveyor, driver cages, hanging dome mirrors, guardrails, work benches, lockers and more.

We have the team to help with these size of decommissions and have helped many others in the past with similar size projects.

We have never missed a deadline, in most cases we have finished way ahead of schedule.

rack.ca works hard to provide efficient storage solutions tailored to our clients needs.

A client needed to stack long awkward material but also needed to be able to access it by hand so the simple solution for storage of long awkward material would be to use cantilever racking. That was not the ideal solution here.

Working with our team to design the storage solution the client required the design team and sales team came up with a pallet racking system and using M-Dividers to help access the product by hand and to keep the product organized and separated.

The final result is shown in the video.

To help keep costing down, we supplied a mix of new and used pallet racking, all supplied from our in-house stock including the new M-Dividers.

Thanks to the install team for accommodating the clients busy schedule and installing the system over the past weekend!
