A great milestone for innovation in multilayer film development — Macro Engineering & Technology Inc.’s advanced 7‑layer blown film lab line is now installed at Ingenia Polymers’ newly expanded Brantford Innovation Centre in Ontario.

The new labline features seven 1.25” extruders, Macro’s proprietary high‑performance die and air‑ring technology, and a 24” Automax surface winder capable of producing 12” diameter rolls — delivering exceptional flexibility for material trials, product development, and process optimization.

The installation was celebrated during Ingenia’s 40th anniversary event, showcasing the strong collaboration between industry and academia. Last week, it was a great opportunity to attend SPE Extrusion Division Optimization TopCon in Montreal, QC.

Program Chair Dr. Karen Xiao, along with our Technical Sales Manager Dave Anzini and Area Sales Manager Alfredo Santa shared valuable insights and engaged in meaningful discussions on today’s extrusion challenges. Dave also delivered an excellent presentation on Melt Pressure Management for Extrusion Systems.
