While I was looking for a “real job” after completing my MBA in 2002, I was asked to manage the Hubcap Comedy Festival while I was in between jobs. This opportunity lead to an unexpected journey into social entrepreneurship and was soon followed by a seemingly eclectic, but surprisingly similar, collection of contracts ranging from event management to social action initiatives, arts and culture development, small and medium business consulting and community development. My company, Raven Management Solutions, was created in 2003 to meet these unique community needs and has been happily working away to help others ever since.

Most of what we accomplish is because of our local relationships. Supporting local businesses and non-profits has paid off in dividends, as we are able to leverage partnerships and collaborations not just for us but by connecting our clients to the right people.

The majority of our business comes from local word-of-mouth referrals. There is no greater compliment than someone sending people your way because they know they will get treated right by us.

We are a community, and in a global marketplace, local support can make all the difference to success.

Alors que je cherchais un "vrai travail" après avoir obtenu mon MBA en 2002, on m'a demandé de gérer le Festival de l'humour HubCap pendant que j'étais entre deux emplois. Cette opportunité m'a conduit à une aventure inattendue dans l'entrepreneuriat social, puisqu'elle a été rapidement suivie d'une collection de contrats apparemment éclectiques, mais étonnamment similaires, allant de la gestion d'événements à des initiatives d'action sociale, au développement des arts et de la culture, au conseil aux petites et moyennes entreprises et au développement communautaire. Mon entreprise, Raven Management Solutions, a été créée en 2003 pour répondre à ces besoins communautaires uniques et, depuis, elle s'efforce d'aider les autres.

La plupart de ce que nous accomplissons est dû à nos relations locales. Soutenir les entreprises et les organisations à but non lucratif d'ici a porté ses fruits, car nous sommes en mesure de tirer parti des partenariats et des collaborations, non seulement pour nous, mais aussi en mettant nos clients en contact avec les bonnes personnes.

La majorité de notre activité provient de recommandations locales de bouche à oreille. Il n'y a pas de plus grand compliment que de voir quelqu'un vous envoyer des gens parce qu'ils savent qu'ils seront bien traité par nous.

Nous sommes une communauté, et sur un marché mondial, le soutien local peut faire toute la différence pour le succès.
