Those on the YWIB-Montreal committee want to take this time to express sympathy for those who have been affected by the coronavirus pandemic. This is a very unique period characterized by fear and incertainty, but we find solace in knowing that there are passionate and driven people fighting for us on the frontlines. To our healthcare workers, scientists and many others who are risking exposure for themselves and their families, thank you for your bravery. Hopefully this experience will be enlightening for us, motivating us to be more compassionate with one another and more mindful of our environmental footprint. Take care of yourselves and hang in there!

Last month, YWIB Montreal and Concordia University hosted their 7th annual interactive workshop.
Students learned to use molecular spectroscopy methods to examine the ink on a note left at a crime scene and link potential suspects to this evidence! @ Concordia University Loyola Campus

Introducing Florence Bascom (1862-1945), often referred to as “the first woman geologist in this country.” One of her several accomplishments includes geologically mapping a large portion of the United States!
