I’m not going to tell you all how passionate I am about aviation!

Nor am I going to tell you all how becoming an airline pilot was my childhood dream from age seven!

I’m not going to tell you how many people I have inspired and encouraged along my journey, as they pursue their aviation career dreams!

What I will tell you, is that there is no such thing as limits in life! The only limits that exist, are the ones we place upon ourselves mentally!

I’ve come as far as I have both in my career and in my life because I have no limits! And it is for that very reason, that I will continue to excel!

But it’s not always going to be a smooth ride! There will always be turbulence along the way and it’s up to you to do whatever is required to find that smooth ride!

No matter who you are, no matter what walk of life you come from, I’m here to tell you that you accomplish anything you want in life! The three keys are to BELIEVE IN YOURSELF, STAY FOCUSED and above all NEVER EVER GIVE UP!

We all have it within us to climb to the top! So get in that pilot’s seat and set yourself up for destination success!

When I was a kid back in England, a family member once told me that I can’t become an airline pilot, because that kind of profession is only for educated white folks! I guess I wasn’t paying attention! And even though he’s since lost his battle with cancer some years ago and is now gone, I hope I didn’t disappoint him!

Black history month is just around the corner! And as I do each year, I will be shinning the spotlight of achievement not only on those aviation trailblazers of years gone by, but also on those who even this day, continue to inspire!

I've been in aviation for a long time and worked in many areas of the industry. And if there's any advice I can offer to those looking to pursue this field, or to those working their way up, it's this...No matter what you strive to achieve in life, remember these three things:

1. Always believe in yourself with every ounce
of your being!

2. Look at the big picture and stay focused on
what you want!

3. Above all, never ever give up!
