McGill Robotics is a student-run engineering design team at McGill University.

On top of participating in a handful of international competitions with the technical projects, the team also organizes RoboHacks annually and participates in a variety of outreach initiatives around Montreal. This year, the team has expanded to include three main technical projects: Drone, Mars Rover, and Autonomous Underwater Vehicle. McGill Robotics also includes award-winning Marketing, Multimedia, Finance, Sponsorship, and Operations teams. Ultimately, McGill Robotics hopes to see its efforts ignite a mobilizing passion for robotics within the McGill community and beyond. Through the team's initiatives, members of McGill Robotics strive to boldly challenge their professional and technical abilities while constantly striving to exceed both the team's own expectations and those established by others. Together, members within the McGill Robotics family support each other and encourage accomplishment as one unified “Team Before Machine,” where the team spirit and bond is evident in every pursuit. So what happens when you give the best engineering students in Canada access to world-class professors and cutting edge technology in an attempt to build an autonomous robot? You create an excellent breeding ground for top-notch engineering talent looking to become leaders in the industry.

This is raw unedited footage of what it looks like to be a part of McGill‘s Robotics Team. This is time, dedication, and passion for engineering and innovation captured in the small moments.

These videos and images were taken specifically of our rover group during a pivotal test conducted in mid-April with the arm now attached to the rest of our robot. While taken of rover, it crucially highlights an environment of teamwork that is shared across each team.

Despite the school year coming to an end, McGill Robotics has much to look forward to during the summer period. We are excited, and we hope you are too, of the many updates to come!
