Of course, during this time of the year shipping services are extremely busy and we have no control over arrival times.

So far, our OMEGA-MP device has been referred to as "3D Skeletal Muscle Culture Device," but after seeing this video, we might have to drop the "Skeletal" tag. 🚀 Kudos to the research team at Sainte-Justine in Montréal for broadening the possibilities of the OMEGA-MP!

🧠 September 21st is World Alzheimer's Day!

Researchers worldwide have made significant strides in understanding the complexities of Alzheimer's disease. We are proud to support this global community with advanced cell culture technologies, facilitating a more human-relevant replication and study of a disease that affects so many families.

With each study, we move one step closer to discovering more effective treatments and, hopefully, a cure. Together, we can improve the lives of those affected by this disease and work toward a world without Alzheimer's.

While the risk of developing dementia (including Alzheimer’s disease - the most common cause of dementia) increases with age, the disease is not a normal consequence of aging. Many adults maintain their cognitive function and memory well into their senior years.

🌟 September 7th is World Duchenne Awareness Day! 🌟

Did you know…?
👉 Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) is a life-limiting genetic disorder predominantly affecting boys. The condition gradually leads to muscle weakness and impacts mobility, breathing and heart function.

👉 Underlying the symptoms is the loss-of-function of dystrophin, a structural protein expressed mainly in muscle cells.

👉 Dystrophin is also expressed in neurons within specific brain regions.This connection is relevant as a subset of boys with DMD exhibit cognitive dysfunction.

👩‍🔬👨‍🔬 Earlier this summer the FDA approved the first gene therapy for treating 4-5 year olds with DMD. More work needs to be done, but advances in research and therapy are paving the way for a brighter future, bringing hope to those living with DMD.
