Living room renovation (Part 2)

I got the insulation in, and the v***r berrier up. It was time to drywall, mudd, and tape. Then, it was primed and painted. I made all new pine window jambs and window casements. The originals would not work with new window jamb depth.
Then, everything was stained to match the old trim color. Overall, everything came out nice with a ceiling height 12" higher than when I started.

Living room renovation (Part 1)
This living room had a hole bunch of problems I needed to address. The main one being the wall with the window was originally famed without a header above the window. This caused the wall to sage over time , this caused the window to be crushed under the weight of the second floor. So the second floor was jacked up, and a new wall was framed in front of the old wall to help support the second floor. Another issue was mold in the ceiling between the original ceiling and a dropped ceiling. This was caused by a roof leak. So both the drop ceiling and the original lath and plaster ceiling were removed. also had an HVAC supply line moved to avoid a bulk head over the window. Then we were ready for new insulation and v***r berrie.

The flooring in this house was ripped out down to the original floorboard. Then, a whole lot of prepwork was done to get the subfloor ready for the new premium underlayment. The prep work included sanding down the subfloors high spot, which this floor had some really bad spots in all doorway transition. Also had some low spots in the kitchen that were filled with self leveling underlayment. Then, the new premium underlayment was installed. After the underlayment, we installed a loose lay luxury vinyl plank flooring. This flooring was installed with a pressure sensitive glue but can also be installed floating.

A few things I did in this kitchen are insulation, drywall, mudding, tapping, primer, paint, reinstalling of kitchen cabinets, and countertop. Just to name a few things.
