Meet Josh.

Josh has been with us for over 10 years, and he’s become a huge part of what makes our projects run the way they do.

He started out as a labourer focusing on flashing. Over the years, through hard work and a commitment to getting better every day, he’s grown into a journeyman carpenter who now leads jobs.

He’s someone we rely on—consistent, dependable, and always willing to step up when it matters.

Outside of work, Josh is a dedicated family man, and that same care and responsibility shows up on site every day.

He’s always learning, always improving, and always pushing himself to be better.

We’re proud to have him on the team.

We stopped by a Passive House we completed back in 2016 for a spring maintenance check-in and asked the homeowner how things were running. Her answer says it all: about $800/year in electrical costs.

By managing rainwater where it falls, we reduce impact on the land, support the surrounding ecosystem, and create a resilient, high-performance home that works with nature, not against it.

A lot happening at The Coastal Treehouse right now.

Hardscaping is officially underway in collaboration with shaping the exterior spaces to complement the home and its natural surroundings.

The Pheasant Hill crew is pushing hard to wrap up the exterior insulation and rain screen, setting the stage for siding install. Building performance and durability always come first — the details behind the walls matter just as much as the finishes you see.

Inside, has been installing stunning hickory hardwood throughout. Mark mentioned “everything is hard here” and he’s right. The level of detail on this project demands precision at every turn. That extra effort will show in the finished product.

Johnny from has begun tile installation in the bathrooms, bringing craftsmanship and care to every install.

When you work with trades who take pride in the small details, the result is a home built to a higher standard. Quality isn’t accidental — it’s built, one detail at a time.

A staircase with a story 🌲

These custom stringers by Zenith Glass and Railing are becoming a true focal point of the home, wrapping around the tree that once stood on this property at the Coastal Tree House. Custom hickory treads will be added to match the floors, tying the staircase seamlessly into the rest of the home.

Trees were deeply important to these clients, and preserving that connection mattered. On every custom home we build, we try to carry a piece of the property into the house itself, because people don’t just fall in love with a floor plan, they fall in love with the land first.
