🏡 What Season of Life Are You In?

One of the things we love most about the bonus room at 164 Oak Street is that it can change as your life changes.

Today it's the same room... but three completely different possibilities.

🧸 Growing Family?
A bright, cozy nursery offers the perfect space for a new little one, with room for a crib, changing station, and treasured keepsakes. I loved this season, mind you, it was 35 years ago, but I loved the bunny rabbit theme we had.

🖥️ Working From Home?
Create a dedicated home office with space to focus, or run your business without taking over the kitchen table. This is our current season. I do have a desk but I like the light at the kitchen table LOL

📦 Need More Storage?
Turn it into an organized storage room with shelving, seasonal bins, hobby supplies, and all those things that never seem to have a home. I am avoiding this season of life.

❤️ This one is for Kerry. We miss you.

Sometimes social media only shows the finished homes, the pretty pictures, and the milestones. What it doesn’t always show is the incredible community that has supported B&L Home Design over the last three years.

The neighbours on Oak Street have been a big part of that story, and one person in particular meant so much to us: Kerry.

Kerry came to visit our very first build on Oak Street, and then every build after that. Wow, we are now 5 houses on Oak Street. Whenever she spotted a piece of land for sale, she’d send us a message. In fact, she’s one of the reasons we were able to purchase the lot on Elliott Street.

When Kerry found out we would be building right next door to her at our latest project, 164 Oak, she was so excited. Sadly, we lost Kerry suddenly in March.

I can’t begin to describe how heart-wrenching it has been to pour the foundation, frame the walls, and watch this home take shape without her there cheering us on. Every day on site, we’ve felt her absence.

What has brought some comfort is getting to know Kerry’s sister and having the opportunity to help with the sale of Kerry’s beloved home. We were honoured to stage the house, and if you take a look through the photos, you may notice a few familiar touches.

At B&L Home Design, we’re grateful to be a small part of this next chapter for Kerry’s family.
