A study in architectural details. ✨

Grand ceilings. Intricate mouldings. Thoughtful transitions. Every detail designed to bring depth, dimension, and character to this custom Niagara-on-the-Lake residence.

From statement coffered ceilings to sweeping architectural features, this project was an opportunity to showcase the craftsmanship that goes far beyond traditional drywall and finishing.

Working with architectural mouldings by Foamcore Mouldings, our team brought these details together through precise installation, seamless integration, and meticulous finishing.

Because exceptional spaces aren’t defined by square footage alone. They’re defined by the details.

A look back at the Henley Heights build we wrapped up in September.

High ceilings, vaulted rooms, and plenty of details throughout—this was a great project to be part of. A big thank you to Henley Heights for trusting us with the drywall and finishing on this build.

You’ve seen the after. But you haven’t seen where we started. 👀

Henry Street was one of those projects where no two areas were quite the same.

Old plaster and lath. New framing meeting old construction. Dormers, angles, original details, uneven surfaces — and more than a few things that had to be figured out as we went.

And that’s exactly why we love projects like this.

There’s something pretty satisfying about taking a space all the way back to its bones and watching everything come together until the complicated parts simply… disappear.

Because in the end, you shouldn’t be looking at the drywall.

You should just see the home.

The goal is for you to never know where the old ends and the new begins. 👌

Main floor of this multi-unit renovation — and another combination of new drywall, existing plaster, repairs, patches and a whole lot of skimming to bring everything back together.

There’s something especially satisfying about working in these older homes. You’re not starting with perfect framing and brand-new walls. You’re working around original trim, old plaster, years of renovations and all the quirks that come with them.

The finished product should still look like it was always meant to be that way.

And this one cleaned up beautifully. 🤌

So fresh. So clean. ✨

But this one was a lot more than fresh drywall.

This second-floor unit had a mix of new drywall and original plaster, with some of the existing plaster walls needing serious attention and extensive skimming to bring everything back to a clean, consistent finish.

Old houses will humble you every single time. Nothing is straight, nothing is simple, and somehow every wall has its own personality. 😂

But when the finish comes together like this? Worth it.

This is not your average basement.

Every detail in this custom Jordan basement was designed with intention — from the curved openings and recessed lighting to tray ceilings created to minimize traditional bulkheads.

And then there’s the 30-foot-long tunnel — easily one of the most unique features in the entire space.

With the homeowner also being the interior designer, every element has been carefully thought through, giving us the opportunity to make the drywall part of the architecture itself.

Projects like this take a lot of planning, problem-solving and attention to detail, and they’re exactly the kind of work we love doing.

Custom drywall. Specialty finishing. Built around design. ✨

We’ve said it before, and we’ll keep saying it:

There are certain products and installation methods we will never stop recommending as a drywall contractor specializing in custom homes.

Resilient channel is one of them.

While it’s well known for helping reduce sound transfer between floors, it also helps decouple the drywall from the framing, allowing for movement that can help minimize stress cracks over time.

On this Caistor Centre custom home, Jordan is installing resilient channel before the ceilings are boarded, ensuring every piece is properly spaced and installed to manufacturer specifications.

It’s one of those details you’ll never see once the home is complete—but it’s exactly the kind of detail that contributes to a better finished product.

Quality drywall starts long before the finishing stage.
