Today we celebrate and honour an incredible chapter as Mel Buhler officially begins his retirement after 25 years of dedicated service and leadership at SCMI.

Almost 25 years ago, Mel and Paul partnered together and began the SCMI journey that helped build the company into what it is today. For 15 of those years, Mel served as a partner and played a major role in guiding the direction of the company and shaping the culture that continues to define SCMI.

From hiring Donavon as our very first employee to growing the company into a team of 60 people by 2015, Mel was deeply involved in the daily grind and growth of the business every step of the way.

One of Mel’s greatest gifts has always been his ability to genuinely connect with people. His care for others, encouragement, and relationships have left a lasting impact on countless employees, customers, and industry partners throughout his career.

Mel, thank you for your leadership, friendship, dedication, and 25 years of service. We are incredibly grateful for the foundation you helped build and the lives you impacted along the way.
