🏠 Big Milestone for Op Construction MGBHLM Housing Project 🏠
We’re proud to share one of our biggest projects yet! From October 31, 2023, to June 2024, our team worked hard to build five brand-new 1,200 sq. ft. homes for the Mosquito Grizzly Bear’s Head Lean Man First Nation (MGBHLM) all completed in just eight months.
We’d like to extend a big thank you to Chief and Council of MGBHLM for trusting us with this important project.
Also, special thanks to Merv Knight (BATC) and Neil Sasakamoose for overseeing and supporting the build every step of the way.
And a heartfelt thank you to Elder Max Moosomin for holding a sweat for our crew and smudging and blessing the homes once they were completed that meant a lot to all of us.
This project gave us the chance to hire three full-time workers from MGBHLM and eight additional community members as casual fill-ins throughout the build. It was great to see new skills grow and friendships form along the way.
A huge shoutout to our full-time crew from MGBHLM Cedrick Spyglass, Tiffany Starcheif, and Peter Spyglass for showing up every day and bringing your dedication, laughter, and skill to the team. You truly helped make this project a success.
And of course, we can’t forget our two loyal site dogs, Tonka and Taco the real job site supervisors 🐾. Without them, we’re not sure we could have pulled it off!
This project means a lot to us it represents teamwork, community, and craftsmanship done right. We’re grateful for the opportunity and proud of what we built together.
