پرچین هاي گياهي در ونكوور از متداول ترين حصارهاي زنده محسوب مي شود، برخی از پرچین ها صرفاً تزئینی هستند ، در حالی که برخی دیگر عمدتا عملکرد ديوار دارند. گیاهان پرچین مورد استفاده تزئینی اغلب به اندازه ها و شکل های دقیق اصلاح می شوند و ممکن است بوته های همیشه سبز یا برگریز باشند. بوته هایی که با عملکرد ديوار استفاده می شوند باید بسیار رشد کنند و احتمالاً دارای خار (مانند زالزالک) یا برگهای خاردار باشند. همچنین ، پرچین ها به عنوان حصارهاي حفظ حریم خصوصی و ضد باد مفید هستند. برای این دو هدف ، شما به درختچه های بلندتر نیاز دارید.

نمونه ديگر آنجل ويلالبا يا همان گتی ایماژ است كه اگر بخواهید امنیت و ملاحظات زیبایی شناسی را ترکیب کنید ، holly انگلیسی ، با برگهای خاردار ، گیاه پرچین بهتری نسبت به holly ژاپنی می سازد. این یکی از گونه هايي است که به اندازه کافی بزرگ می شود و از آن به راحتي مي توان به عنوان ديواري هم استفاده كرد.
مثال سوم پرچين ها انواع زرشك هابا خارهاي تیز است و آن را به گزینه ای سنتی برای پرچین های امنیتی تبدیل کرده اند. برخي اينها را با توت های قرمز تركيب مي كنند، چرا كه در برابر سرما دوام بيشتري دارند و معمولا تاراواسط پاييز سبز هستند و خارها در تمام طول سال وجود دارند.

Are Concrete Blocks Safe for Vegetable Gardens? There is some thought that some of the materials in concrete blocks or cinder blocks can leach into the soil.
Concrete blocks can also contain lime, which might leach into the soil when you water your plants, but this is not thought to be harmful to humans; small amounts of the concrete aggregate, which includes cement, can be dissolved by weak acids, such as rain, especially in areas where acid rain is more common.
