From above, the scale of this 1 MW Solar Energy System is hard to miss. ⚡
This recently completed rooftop solar installation in Ontario transforms available roof space into a source of clean, on-site electricity. Designed to support long-term cost savings and energy resilience, the system is now delivering value where it matters most: at the facility itself.

By generating power on-site, facilities can reduce their reliance on grid electricity, better manage energy costs, and make more effective use of existing assets.

Proud to showcase another completed solar project helping an Ontario facility take greater control of its energy future.

World Environment Day is a reminder that sustainability is an ongoing priority including in manufacturing.
Across Ontario, more facilities are looking at practical ways to reduce environmental impact while improving how they manage energy.
That means thinking about things like:
✓ Smarter energy use
✓ Onsite generation
✓ Greater energy resilience
✓ More predictable long-term energy costs

The goal isn’t one or the other.
It’s finding approaches that support environmental progress and stronger operations at the same time.

By July 1, two Ontario manufacturers could install the exact same solar system and receive significantly different incentive amounts.

✔ Complete applications submitted before June 30 may qualify for $860/kW-AC
✔ Applications submitted after June 30 will be evaluated at $770/kW-AC
For a 1 MW solar project, that's a difference of up to $90,000 in incentive funding.

The Save on Energy program is not ending. The incentive rate is changing.
For energy managers, plant managers, and operations leaders evaluating onsite solar, project timing has become a critical financial consideration.

Ontario solar incentives under Save on Energy are being reduced effective June 30, 2026.

For manufacturers evaluating onsite solar, timing now has a measurable financial impact. Incentives for systems >10 kW-AC will decrease from $860/kW-AC to $770/kW-AC — a reduction of up to $90,000 on a 1 MW project.
The program is continuing. The rate is changing. And complete applications submitted before June 30 are evaluated under the current incentive structure.

Great to be part of important conversations on the future of energy in Canada.

Our CEO, Sean Mirrahimi, joined industry leaders and policymakers to discuss how innovation, grid modernization, energy optimization, and smarter energy systems can support a more resilient and sustainable future, while highlighting the role Circuit Energy and Edgecom Energy are playing in accelerating energy transformation.

We were also honoured to connect with Canada’s Minister of Energy, Timothy Hodgson, and be part of conversations driving progress across the industry.

An inspiring event focused on collaboration, technology, and the future of energy.

Most Ontario manufacturers don’t realize this:
If your power factor is below 0.90, you’re likely paying monthly penalties hidden inside reactive demand charges.
For many facilities, this quietly adds up to $10K–$60K+ per year in avoidable costs.
Here’s what power factor really means, why it drops, and how manufacturers are fixing it →

Peak shaving is one of the most practical applications of battery storage for industrial facilities.
A Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) can discharge stored electricity during periods of highest demand, reducing power drawn from the grid when demand charges matter most.
For manufacturers, this means a smarter way to manage peaks, improve cost predictability, and reduce electricity cost exposure.

05/26/2026

Ontario manufacturers are approaching energy with a different lens.
The focus is expanding beyond sustainability toward:
✓ Cost predictability
✓ Reduced grid dependence
✓ Operational resilience
✓ Long-term energy planning
Across industrial facilities, onsite solar is increasingly being evaluated as part of broader energy and operational strategies.

⚡ The BESS conversation just changed.
For months, the narrative was: “Lower Global Adjustment rates make battery storage less attractive.”
That’s changing.
With Global Adjustment costs rising again and new Demand Response incentives creating added value, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) are becoming financially compelling for Ontario industrial facilities.

What changed?
➡️ Rising Global Adjustment costs are increasing the savings potential of peak shaving.
➡️ New Demand Response incentives are creating additional financial value for facilities.
➡️ Improved project economics are strengthening ROI potential for battery storage investments.

If your facility wants to be positioned for next summer’s peak periods, planning starts now.
