T & L Abatement and Remediation Inc is a locally owned company owned and operated by Tom Campbell and his wife Lyanne, lifelong residents of the Fredericton and Oromocto areas. Along with several years of carpentry/construction experience, Tom brings over 30 years experience in providing cost-effective, timely and safe solutions for the removal, disposal and decontamination of asbestos, lead paint

, mold and other hazardous materials. Trained in Infection Control (Construction), Tom is well aware of the importance of safety and takes pride in making sure his team is safe at all times. Fully licensed and insured, Tom continues to work closely with several environmental consultants and he is very well known and respected in the construction industry. He is also experienced and familiar working with both Provincial and Federal governments. Along with Tom’s 30 years, his brother Eldon Campbell brings over 30 years’ experience in commercial, industrial and residential hazmat abatement's including lead, asbestos and mold. He has successfully managed the largest to date Infection Control project in eastern Canada at the Moncton City Hospital worth over a million dollars. He has managed jobs ranging from one thousand dollars to ten million dollars in places like Bermuda and Labrador City, Newfoundland with crews of up to 50 men. He is a leader in safety in the competitive construction environment. His main goal is the same; to make the client happy with the way they spent their money keeping safety in mind at all times!

Another one underway! 👷‍♂️💪

Our crew has been busy working through this fire-damaged unit, safely removing and disposing of hazardous building materials so the property can move on to the next phase - demolition.

Not every job makes for pretty pictures 😂, but this is the kind of work our guys do best. Damaged buildings can come with plenty of challenges, and we’re proud of the care and hard work our crew puts into getting them done safely and properly.

Demolition can be messy, but it should never be careless. 👷‍♂️

At T&L Abatement & Remediation, safety and attention to detail are part of every job, whether we’re working on a large commercial project or inside someone’s home.

Our team recently completed another phase of asbestos abatement work at the Woodstock Fire Hall, using full containment procedures and industry best practices to safely remove hazardous materials before renovations continue.

Work like this often happens behind the scenes, but it’s an essential step in protecting workers, building occupants, and everyone who will use the facility for years to come.

Many people assume lead paint is only found in bright colours.

Not true.

Lead paint was used under and over white, cream, beige, grey, green, blue, and countless other colours in homes and commercial buildings built before the late 1970s.

During renovations, sanding, scraping, cutting, or demolition can release lead dust, one of the most common ways exposure occurs.

If your home or building was constructed before 1979, it’s worth considering lead paint before starting renovations.

Remember: You can’t tell if paint contains lead just by looking at it. Proper testing is the only way to know for sure.

💡 T&L Thursday Tip #1

Not every asbestos-containing material looks dangerous.

One of the biggest misconceptions we hear is:

“If I can’t see asbestos, it must be safe.”

Unfortunately, asbestos is often found in materials that look completely ordinary:

• Floor tile and adhesive
• Pipe insulation
• Ceiling texture
• Drywall joint compound
• Exterior siding
• Roofing materials

The safest approach is to know before you disturb. A simple test before renovations can prevent unnecessary exposure and costly delays.

At T&L Abatement & Remediation, education is just as important as removal.
