Shoutout to parents, educators, and robotics fans: Who’s tried FIRST LEGO League (FLL)? Kids build/program LEGO robots for real-world missions, boosting teamwork & problem-solving.

We are thrilled to announce that three of our teams — WIZE AI, WIZE Steins, and WIZE Big Cheese — have qualified for the Provincials of the First LEGO League Challenge, taking place at Durham College, Oshawa on January 31 & February 1, 2026!

Achievements at the Qualifiers:
University of Waterloo – WIZE AI: Robot Performance Award & Engineering Excellence Award
Queen’s University Kingston – WIZE Big Cheese: Championship Award – 3rd Place
David and Mary Thomson Collegiate Institute, Scarborough – WIZE Steins: Championship Award – 2nd Place

The WIZE teams are proudly made up of students from both OCSB and OCDSB schools, showcasing the incredible talent, perseverance, and teamwork across our local school communities.

Advancing to the provincials takes innovation, collaboration, and resilience — and WIZE teams have truly shown what it takes to rise to the next level. We can’t wait to see them shine at Provincials!
