Introducing the new General Manager of True North Mechanical, Michael Walt.

Michael brings over 35 years of experience in the HVAC and plumbing sectors, specializing in driving operational excellence, fostering positive organizational culture, and enhancing client satisfaction. Michael has a proven track record in managing mechanical service operations, optimizing team performance, and upholding industry-leading standards. He started as an HVAC technician with Consumers Gas and then worked for various HVAC contractors in the Ottawa area. He then moved into the HVAC and Plumbing wholesale industry where he managed different branch facilities and large sales teams.

We’re excited to welcome Michael to the team where he will not only contribute to the growth of True North Mechanical but continue to shape the future of the HVAC industry in Ottawa.

Amazing what a group of HVAC guys can do in their free time…with a little help of course 😉. The True North headquarters is coming along. We’ve officially started operating out of our new location and hope to break ground on our shop this Fall!

5 new Rheem Endeavour Air Conditioners up and running for this new multi dwelling residential building.

Big fans of the black PVC slim duct covering all the refrigerant piping to maintain the building’s aesthetics!

The team swapped out a natural draft boiler for a condensing high efficiency boiler. This system serves a multi dwelling rental unit with multiple heating zones.

We have maintained the old system for a number of years but ultimately it was time to upgrade to something safer, more reliable and more efficient.

True North Mechanical attended the 2025 Rheem Pro Partner International Conference at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center is Las Vegas.

The conference featured insightful business learning sessions with industry leaders and recognized experts.

True North partner, Joey Zdrilich, was in hot demand at the event partly for his good looks but mostly his knowledge and expertise on Rheem products dating back over two decades.

Check out one of our custom radiant projects that was featured in the Winter edition of the Radiant Comfort Report!

The True North Team started this project in 2023 and it is nearing completion. Everything about this project was custom designed and unique to the application it was serving.

We hope to do a video walkthrough of this project when it is completed to showcase all the work that went into this project.
