The Question is often asked: Why did you decide to start building Tiny Homes?
Well the short answer is this lady on the right, My Mom :)
Often in life things change and My (Tausha’s) Mom was looking for a place to call her own,. Unfortunately with a single income it was extremely difficult to find. She ended up renting a place, but unfortunately it was only short term and she was on the hunt again. The idea of her scrapping by and living the life of a renter did not sit well with us. So, after a bit of brainstorming and living on some acreage myself, I said ‘Mom why don’t we just build you a tiny home and you can live in the backyard!’ This gave her a place to truly call her own and be able to take pride in where she lived, as well as gave her some much needed security in her life. So, a few months later her own tiny home was built and she was moving in!
She lived in her first Tiny Home for just under 3 years, at which time we were selling our current property and purchasing the new farm that we live at now. At this time we decided to sell her current tiny home, and build her a new (slightly better one then her first) one :) When we sold the first one, we quickly realized how many people out there were in the same position as my Mom and this was such a great solution.
Since building her second one, and her living happily in it over the past year, we decided it was time to start the business building Tiny Homes. The opportunity to build ‘Modest Shacks’ for people to be able to call their own is extremely exciting for us! Whether you are a first time home buyers, looking to downsize, or a solution to keep your parents close by, we can build a home to suit your needs. We know building my Mom her home was the best decision. Allowing her to live a comfortable life in a home that she can afford and be proud of.
