We’ve been doing a lot of basement renos lately! Basements are often understandably the last space to get finished in a home, but they can be great spaces for hobbies, games & cozy vibes. This basement started as an almost blank slate so we decided to gut it completely in order to reconfigure the layout and make the most of the space. By moving the furnace and HVAC from the centre to the corner of the basement we were able to create a playroom/guest room with barn doors. We also added the gas fireplace with large format tiles from and custom built-ins. Big thanks for .hvactitan for doing all the hvac work & installing the gas fireplace for this project!

Bathroom before and after! This bathroom was a lovely salmon pink with check board vinyl and a plastic shower curtain used to cover up a hole in the ceiling when we got to work on it! We gained an extra 18” of space in here by removing what used to be the old chimney pipe and it made such a difference in making this a more functional family bathroom. We used tiles from our favourite tile store for the shower and floor. The vanity came from and the medicine cabinet was made custom in our workshop to match! So proud of how this bathroom transformation turned out 🎉

Finally getting around to sharing a before and after series of the house we recently renovated from top to bottom! This house was a labour of love and it’s hard to believe how much this house changed in just a couple years.

Here’s some changes we made to this space:
- removed the wall between the kitchen and the rest of the living space
- added a bigger window to the kitchen
- added a sliding patio door
- installed engineered hardwood flooring
- removed the popcorn ceiling
- custom kitchen cabinets built in our workshop
- installed backsplash
