uOttawa Mars Rover Team The University Rover Challenge (URC) is the world's largest rover competition for university students.

The competition gives students an opportunity to apply their passion for space exploration, discovery and engineering throughout the design process. This process includes initial proof-of-concept, CAD modelling, and final assembly and testing. Students are provided with a unique platform to practice their communication, teamwork and personal skills. The URC evaluates teams in their performance across four missions:
- a Science Mission to investigate a site for the presence of current or past life
- a Delivery Mission to deliver a variety of objects to astronauts in the field across rugged terrain
- an Equipment Servicing Mission to perform dexterous operations on a mock lander using a robotic arm
- an Autonomous Traversal Mission to autonomously travel to a site and locate a marker.

About two months ago, Kelpie Robotics (uOttawa MATE ROV Team) stole one of our special artefacts! It took us two months to realize, so in retaliation we declared war upon them and stole their mascot Seamore. For his own protection we put Seamore in the turtle sanctuary, but he quickly got bored. So… we decided to bring him with us to CSTAG-CIRC 2026. Here are the shenanigans that followed. Thank you to Robotique UdeS , Société Technique PolyOrbite , DAM Robotics Club and CPRT for being such good sports and helping us with our silly war.
