All of steampunk’s campers are super smart. Sometimes we get attendees that have particularly amazing gifts - today was one of those days. This team of two young guys composed - note by note - out of Scratch code block, the MI theme. On their own. No help. No piano. No ChatGPT.

As teachers and facilitators, our hope is always to spark an interest in a student - just open the door to a new idea or skill. Today it was the other way around. These kids were awesome. I can’t wait to see where they go.

You are looking at the Perth Library regional Lego league sumobots champions!!!!!

Steampunk couldn’t be more proud of these two wonderful builders! They also happen to be really wonderful kids.

They’ll be heading to Lanark Highlands to compete in the finals November 8th! Can’t wait to head how it goes 🦾

We had to call in a Steampunk alumni to help teach at the regional Lego league finals at yesterday!

We’ve missed having Henry around, but he’s been busy - he tutors 3U and 4U functions, calculus, physics, chemistry, and biology so if you need a little help this semester, drop us a line and we’ll connect you to this amazing tutor.

We don’t normally get three generations of builders in one place!! But mom and grandma (Neenee) joined their kids to battle it out in Perth yesterday and it was a blast. I won’t say who won, but… it was Ryan.

It’s wonderful to see families who learn and grow together. Neenee might be our favourite attendee this season.
