The Tofitian Overlander Build. 💪😎

Built for the road less travelled. 🏔️

Last weekend we showcased this custom Overlander build at the 4WDABC 4x4 Overlander Rally in Coombs, BC. It was awesome getting this truck in front of such a fired-up, passionate crowd of 4x4 and overlanding enthusiasts!

This was a huge collaborative project between Rival MFG, Tofitian Enterprises, and Buckstop Truckware, creating a serious overland platform designed for capability, versatility, and heavy-duty use.

At its core is a custom Rival MFG aluminum truck deck and spring-retained subframe. Removable side boxes and tailgate allow the truck to quickly transform into a full flat deck when the camper comes off, while a reinforced bulkhead and 1/4" deck provide serious strength.

Expanded wheel wells accommodate XL-diameter tires, profiled cabinets follow the truck's body lines, and the high-clearance rear design maintains a deep departure angle for off-road use.

Multiple integrated L-track locations provide flexible load retention, while illuminated cabinets include provisions for shelving, drawers, tool hangers, and future accessories.

An 18,000 lb-capacity apron hitch provides serious towing capability, with dual additional receivers for a hydraulic motorcycle lift. Underneath, the spring-retained subframe uses polyurethane limiters to provide additional forgiveness as the chassis twists and articulates off-road.

The entire deck was meticulously sized and stress-tested throughout development and finished in durable Sandtex Black powder coat.

Three custom Prisoner Transport Vans recently delivered to BC Corrections.

🚓👮🚓🚨🚓

Designed to safely and securely transport up to 10 prisoners, these Ford Transit-based units were purpose-built to support correctional officers with a durable, highly functional, and security-focused transport platform.

Each van features a custom center console complete with monitor, PA controls, emergency lighting switches, HVAC controls, USB connectivity, life hammer storage, and future system expandability. A dedicated officer compartment bulkhead provides secured storage for emergency equipment, while the rear transport module incorporates audio and video recording in every cell, reinforced aluminum and Lexan door assemblies, day/night lighting, HVAC integration, and a variety of tamper-resistant, contraband-resistant, and self-harm-resistant design features.

Safety and usability were a major focus throughout the build. High-visibility grip tape and reflective markings help reduce slips, trips, and head strikes, while independently opening rear doors, retention hardware, interior storage compartments, self-draining rear access steps, and digital temperature monitoring provide officers with the tools they need to operate safely and effectively.

We recently completed the installation of a Tommy Gate G2-60-1542 TP42 hydraulic liftgate for the Canadian Armed Forces Royal Canadian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (RCEME).

While it's "just" a liftgate to some, we're proud to play even a small role in providing reliable equipment solutions for the organizations that help keep Canada secure. Whether it's municipal fleets, contractors, emergency services, or members of our Armed Forces, every build and installation is approached with the same commitment to quality and craftsmanship.

This custom Diplomat DPT-D-9 Aluminum Dump Body was built for the District of Saanich, providing a versatile municipal work platform designed to support everything from road maintenance and traffic control to daily public works operations.

Built on our 9' x 8' Diplomat™ aluminum dump body platform, this unit features 12" swing-down sides with board extensions, a multi-function spreader tailgate, PullTarp retractable tarp system, and Rival™ 8-tonne hoist for dependable performance in demanding municipal environments.

To meet Saanich's operational requirements, this build was equipped with a custom transverse toolbox featuring adjustable shelving, reinforced flooring, LED rope lighting, and a Flettner vent for improved airflow and equipment storage. Additional upgrades include a full pipe rack with removable rear section, integrated sign storage, cone holders, work lights wired to factory upfitter switches, backup camera integration, SWS arrow board with in-cab controls, GROTE mini amber light bars, and a heavy-duty towing package featuring a combination pintle/ball hitch, welded towing apron, 2.5" receiver, and 4/5/7-way trailer receptacle.

Whether hauling aggregate, transporting equipment, supporting traffic control operations, or towing municipal assets, this Diplomat build demonstrates how standardized manufacturing and custom fab can come together to create a truck tailored to the needs of a modern municipal fleet.

This custom headache rack and tailgate protector package was built for VIP Homes, adding practical protection and utility while maintaining the clean factory appearance of this sharp 2026 Chevrolet Silverado.

Finished in Sandtex Black powdercoat to match the truck's trim package, this setup blends seamlessly into the vehicle's design while providing the durability needed for everyday work. The integrated side rails offer additional tie-down options, while the custom tailgate protector helps shield one of the most frequently used areas of the truck from wear and tear.
