This is how we do out broom swirl finish, swirling with a broom allows you to get a consistent pattern even with multiple finishers.

We had to ‘scrub’ the concrete towards the end;
‘Scrubbing’ concrete is when the concrete is setting up (getting hard) so you have to use both hands and a lot of pressure and scrub the concrete back and forth to get the cream to rise to the surface in order to get a nice smooth finish.

We use a straight edge, we call it a ‘screed board’ in our industry; which helps us ensure the concrete is super flat and pitches in the right direction.

It’s hard work and takes a fair amount of skill to get perfect but the end it’s worth the effort.

We finish getting the mud on the ground and start the finishing process in this one.

We ran out of concrete mid pour; the second load came quick to save the day and we were able to get a good stamp finish on it!
