A great letter by Jeff Korkola, motivated me to reminisce about the pasting of Steve's Music. My responce on his page. --- What a great letter. I have been very motivated to do one more TV cable show as of late. My company "Doyle Custom Enclosures, now Doyle Audio Engineering flourished because of many guys you listed in your letter. I was dare I say the original, Wayne of "Wayne's World" for real when I brought my Scarborough cable 10 program, the tools of Rock n Roll into the store on 3 separate occasions, featuring staff and music equipment. Mike Myers living in Scarborough, working at Second City and watching my cable program, parodied the show when he got the call the SNL. And yes very much Saturday morning meetings with Jeff was a SNL skit. Like the time I was demonstrating our 12" guitar cabinet at a staff meeting and someone asked, "Why should we sell your cabinet over any other cabinet. I said, "This is why." I bowled my cabinet down the aisle, almost 20 ft. It bounced and banged and hit a Fender, scratching it. Everyone was impressed and laughed. Jeff, without skipping a beat asked Scott, I believe, to mark the guitar down 15%, and the legend of Doyle Cabinets durability was born. The store, staff and customers where legendary in the grand scheme of Canadian Music Heritage. I will say it out loud, that I thought Michael, should have had the decency to give Steve's Toronto a greater send off. He simply wasn't his Dad. Out of respect for all of my friends, then and now, I am seriously considering, making that last "Tools of Rock n Roll" Show. Does any one think it's a good idea? Thanks again for your post Jeff. It's finally motivated me to re release that first Cable show that was motivated by everyone that used, sold and built musical equipment sold at Steve's, in our Great Canadian Music Heritage.
