North America Traffic is today’s recognized leader in work-zone traffic control devices. We design and manufacture trailer-mounted portable traffic control devices and warning signals for road and bridge construction companies and for the maintenance departments of state DOTs, cities, counties, and township

s throughout the United States and Canada. Among our customers are the US Department of Homeland Security, the US Marine Corps, the California Department of Transportation, and the New York State Thruway Authority and many other construction companies and DOTs. Niagara Enterpreneur of the year awardOur company was founded in 1994 by Peter Vieveen, operating under the name of R.C. Vieveen invented and built the first Remote Controlled Flagman, an Automated Flagger Assistance Device (AFAD) that was built to improve work-zone safety and decrease onsite labor costs. By 2001, our product line had grown to include additional types and models portable traffic signal devices. Since 2002, the growth of the company has led to multiple expansions. Our current 20,000 sq. facility in Port Colborne, Ontario, is only a 20-minute drive from the US border allowing for quick and easy delivery of rentals and purchased products across the USA and Canada. Our products have been put to work on more than 4000 construction projects. Our Portable Traffic Signals have received DOT approval and acceptance across most of the United States and Canada. Milestones in our industry leadership include the recent sale of 20 RCF 2.4 HD devices for checkpoint security to the US Marine Corps in Iraq. We also custom designed a flagging device to integrate with radiation detection equipment for the Dept. of Homeland Security. Models more typical of our traffic signals and flagger systems cover the full range of portable work-zone traffic control stations to manage:

Two-way traffic in a single lane
4-way traffic at intersections waiting for permanent signals
Ramp metering to control traffic congestion
Construction haul road crossings

In addition to our standard product offerings, we provide design services for innovative solar-powered traffic signaling products. Our basic models have been successfully paired with a variety of detection technologies to automate traffic control. We welcome every opportunity to provide your organization with high-quality, affordable work-zone traffic control devices. North America Traffic Inc.
